Week Three Prompt Response

P art 1 I am looking for a book by Laurell K. Hamilton. I just read the third book in the Anita Blake series and I can’t figure out which one comes next! The fourth book in the Anita Blake Series is "The Lunatic Cafe." What have I read recently? Well, I just finished this great book by Barbara Kingsolver, Prodigal Summer. I really liked the way it was written, you know, the way she used language. I wouldn't mind something a bit faster paced though. Try Anthill by Edward Wilson. It has a similar lush, lyrical writing style as Prodigal Sumer, but the suspenseful tone may make it a little more fast-paced. I like reading books set in different countries. I just read one set in China, could you help me find one set in Japan? No, not modern – historical. I like it when the author describes it so much it feels like I was there! You should check out The Teahouse Fire by Ellis Avery. The novel takes place in 19th century Japan, and the richly detailed writing style should give you

My Reading Profile

As a child, I devoured books. I read multiple at once, always had a book with me, and was punished by having my books taken away. Then, as it so often goes, around the end of high school and through college I hardly ever picked up a book that wasn't required reading for a class. It felt like I lost a part of what made me me, and in Shailene Woodley's immortal words, I'm a reader! That identity was slowly slipping away, but in 2019, as I was getting closer to finishing up at IU, I started to regain my reader identity once again.  It started slow, I only finished nine books that first year, but now I'm averaging about a book or more a week and I'm finally at peace (at least in this regard). My favorite genre since childhood is fantasy. I love escaping into fantastical worlds and pretending fairies are real. As an adult, I've come to love literary fiction, romance and memoirs. Something in me cannot listen to fiction audiobooks, but I love a good celebrity memoir
